This app is designed to promote visits to scientific sites in Brasília's capital. Its features include: - Searching for scientific sites using an interactive map; - Discovering sites through information lists; - Finding scientific sites through text search; - Filtering scientific sites by category; A specific objective of the app is to increase the number of people visiting scientific sites in Brasília. Therefore, several QR codes have been physically placed at the sites to create an interaction between app use and in-person visits. Some app functionalities are programmed to be activated by scanning these QR codes. These functionalities include: check-in, which marks the user's in-person visit; a challenge, where each site challenges the user to answer a quiz about its history; and a personal review, where each user can leave their opinion about the site by providing both quantitative and qualitative evaluations. The app connects all these functionalities in a gamification narrative titled "Become a scientist of the Brasília Science Network". Thus, during the visit, users can earn badges and gain experience points that allow them to level up.
