At its heart is the grid. Point CHOPGRID at a folder of audio and press CHOP ALL: it grabs sixteen different files, picks sixteen different start points, and fills the grid with playable one-shots. No two passes give the same result. Keep what works, lock it, roll again. Point it at your old sessions or stems, and it instantly remixes your audio into new combinations. Everything else feeds the grid. Play the synths and drum machines, record them, chop the results. Stack effects on anything. Roll the dice on all of it. Chop anything: - Point CHOPGRID at any folder - sample packs, field recordings, stems, old projects - Press CHOP ALL for sixteen files at sixteen random start points - RECHOP ALL to reroll the whole grid, or rechop a single cell - Mute, reverse, lock or swap individual cells while it plays - Shape the attack and decay of every cell independently - Two live banks, A and B, for up to 128 chops in a session - Build a full drum rack or sampler bank in a few gestures Roll the dice: - Every module runs on 12-bit randomisers - One press scrambles every available parameter - 4,096 combinations per module - Lock anything you like and keep rolling around it Start from nothing: - SB301 - analogue-style monosynth with a four-pole ladder filter, thick and aggressive - PIVOT - 14 synthesis engines including FM, granular and physical modelling - CHIP - lo-fi digital oscillators drawn from game console hardware, hard edges and heavy aliasing - SEQ - six sequencer types and eleven scales, play live or let it run Rhythm and control: - DROM - eight-part drum machine with a random pattern generator, eight custom kits and over 4,000 recorded one-shots - MASH - built for one-shot creation, blend two audio sources, layer hits from different kits and sculpt each one with its own envelope - UTIL - EQ, filter, compression and VCA in a single module Break, shape, destroy: - CRUSH - bit crusher, grind the resolution down until it breaks - DIRT - six distortion models with added noise and radio interference - FUXT - skips, stutters and signal collapse - DLYA - multihead tape delay, classic movement and warm decay - WERB - dark reverb with bit-reduced modes and smear - FILT - sequenced filter bank with a built-in filter delay - GATA - animated gating sequencer, rhythm carved out of silence Record, capture, generate: - KASET - record live input straight to tape and feed it into CHOP ALL as a source - LOOP - record loops on the fly, or batch record up to eight variations back to back - STEM - run full stems alongside the session, or switch between them as a chop source - Record from the built-in mic or any connected audio interface - Run a drum machine through eight patterns, record the lot, and half your track is done Play with everything else: - Ableton Link - lock tempo and stay in time with other apps and devices on the same network - MIDI enabled - play the grid from a keyboard or pad controller, and clock CHOPGRID from your MIDI gear - Load audio from the Fi
