Store description excerpt

Chartbook is a chord chart and setlist app for musicians who actually gig. Build the running order, then read from it on stage. Large type on black, hands-free page turns, and no network needed to read your charts, because venue wifi cannot be trusted. BUY IT ONCE No subscription. No weekly billing. No lifetime tier you have to buy to escape a subscription. You pay once and the app is yours, including future updates. YOUR SONGS ARE FILES, NOT OUR DATABASE Export your entire library to a standard ChordPro file at any time, in one tap. It opens in other apps and in any text editor. Nothing is locked in, so a bad update can never take your songbook with it. IMPORT THAT SHOWS ITS WORKING Bring in ChordPro files from OnSong, SongBook, Chordii or your own exports. Before anything is saved you see exactly what was parsed, song by song, with a warning on any file where no chords were found. You approve the import, or you do not. PDF CHARTS TOO Import PDF charts and read them on the same stage screen, with the same autoscroll and the same foot pedal. They are shown inverted for a dark venue, so a white page does not blind you between songs. A PDF cannot be transposed, because it is a picture of a chart rather than chords the app can read, and Chartbook tells you that plainly instead of pretending otherwise. ON STAGE - Very large, high contrast type for a dark venue - Autoscroll with a per-song speed, and a drag that always overrides it - Bluetooth foot pedal support for hands-free page turns - Screen stays awake for the whole set - Tap once to hide every control CHORDS - Transpose any song up or down, with correct spelling. In E flat you get A flat, never G sharp, and slash chords move both halves. - Nashville number display, toggled on and off live - Per-song notes on the chart, for the capo position or who counts it in SETS - Build a set from your library, drag to reorder - Running time, so you know whether you fill the slot - Per-song key and length at a glance DELIBERATELY SIMPLE No MIDI. No backing tracks. No video walls. No stage lighting. No invoicing. Chartbook displays your charts and gets out of the way, and the performance screen will not be rearranged underneath you in an update. Chartbook ships with no song catalogue. You bring your own charts, exactly as you would with a paper folder.
