Store description excerpt
ThoughtWalk helps you walk one anxious or upsetting thought to a calmer, more balanced view — using a real CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) framework, not generic positivity. THE THOUGHT WALK Name what happened, catch the automatic thought, spot the thinking pattern behind it, test it against evidence, and write a fairer alternative. Each walk ends with one small next step — never a lecture. A FULL TOOLKIT, NOT JUST ONE EXERCISE 22 guided tools across five categories: - Right now: calm breathing, 5-4-3-2-1 grounding, panic-wave plan, urge surfing, a personal safety plan - Examine a thought: five-part model, downward arrow, core-theme dig, cost-benefit check - Change what you do: graded tasks, behavioral activation, fear steps with predicted-vs-actual tracking - Decide something: decision balance, problem solving - Keep what works: credit lists, gratitude scans, relapse-prevention planning GUIDED PROGRAMS Prefer a plan to a menu? Follow a 5-to-7 day guided program — the same free tools in a deliberate order — for anxiety, low mood, or breaking an avoidance pattern. Go at your own pace; there's no penalty for skipping a day. BUILT-IN INSIGHT See belief change over time, how often reality turned out kinder than your prediction, and which thinking patterns show up most — all calculated on your device from what you've already written. PRIVATE BY DESIGN - No account, no sign-up, no cloud sync - No ads, no analytics, no trackers - Everything is stored locally on your device - Optional passphrase-encrypted backup (AES-256) you control — ThoughtWalk never sees your passphrase - Delete everything, anytime, from Settings WHAT THOUGHTWALK IS NOT ThoughtWalk is self-help education, not therapy, diagnosis, or crisis care. It doesn't replace a licensed mental health professional. If you're in crisis or immediate danger, use the in-app "Get Help Now" page for local emergency numbers and crisis lines, or contact emergency services directly. Everything in this release is free.
