Your cat fishes while you study. Deep Focus is a pomodoro timer with no progress ring. Instead, the timer is a fishing line sinking through the water, and the clock rides the bobber down as your session runs. Where the line stops is which water you fished in. Which water you fished in is what you can catch. TIME IS DEPTH A 15 minute session reaches the shallows. Thirty minutes gets you into deep water. Forty five reaches the abyss, where the rarest fish live. The reward for a longer session is not a bigger number on a badge. It is visibly darker water and fish you cannot otherwise reach. SEVEN PLACES TO FISH Start at the Home Dock and unlock stranger and stranger water. A giant sprinkled donut floating over a teal reef. A colossal coffee cup, still steaming. An enormous rubber duck. Sunken ruins, a drowned arcade where the machines still run, and a tipped soda can in red water with no shoreline at all. Every place repaints the entire screen. Sky, water, lake floor, dock, even the colour of the fish drifting past in silhouette. BUY A BOAT Leave the dock and the pier disappears. Your cat rides in a hull that rocks on the same wave as the surface, the rod comes off the bow, and six offshore fish become catchable that will not bite from shore. 54 FISH TO FIND Common minnows through mythic leviathans, each one hand-drawn pixel by pixel. Sun Perch, Cruller Eel, Third Refill, Squeak Shark, Oracle Jelly, Zero Sugar, Final Boss. Every catch goes into a tank you can watch them swim around in. SPEND WHAT YOU EARN Rods that reach deeper than the clock alone. Bait that tilts your next catch upward. Tackle that stays on permanently, including a thermos that pays more coins and a net that occasionally brings up a second fish. Hats for the cat that do nothing at all. BUILT TO BE KIND ABOUT IT Reel in early and you get nothing, and the button says so plainly. No streak to break, no guilt copy, no notification badges nagging you back. Finish a session or don't.
