Carpentry Assistant is an offline calculator for jobsite carpenters and finish crews. Enter sizes and get numbers, drawings, and cut lists. No account. Works without a network. SHEET CUTTING Enter sheet size, kerf, part length, width, and quantity. Identical parts can merge. Nesting uses the current sheet thickness. Compare three guillotine strategies—area first, long-side first, and strip packing—and keep the option with fewer sheets and higher yield. Each sheet shows the largest leftover and which extra parts could still fit. Lock rotation to respect grain. Parts that will not fit are listed separately. Nesting diagrams and part tables export as PDF. WARDROBES AND STORAGE CABINETS From width, height, depth, thickness, shelf count, divider count, back panel, and two doors, get a bill of materials: left and right sides, top and bottom, shelves, dividers, back, and doors—length × width × thickness × quantity. Send the list to sheet cutting in one tap. Storage cabinets use the same math with different defaults. 3D preview is built from the same parameters: rotate, section view, parts match the 2D list. This is a parametric preview, not cabinet design software, and you cannot freehand a cabinet. WINE RACKS, GRIDS, TATAMI Standard 45° diamond wine racks: board length, count, and bevel direction, color-matched to the diagram. Half-cell racks allow edge half-cells and an adjustable crossing angle. Grid division splits an opening equally and includes joint width. Tatami lays mats on a platform, with the access hatch on an edge cell and the rule spelled out. GEOMETRY AND SHAPES Right, isosceles, and arbitrary triangles; trigonometry; circle; circle division; arc; chord division; ellipse layout. Shape gallery includes heart, peach heart, triple-ellipse-in-circle, arrow-through-heart, regular hexagon/octagon, inscribed ellipse in a rectangle, three-centered arch, star, and square in a circle, with a finished drawing plus construction lines. REFERENCE Size library: common sheet sizes and thicknesses, cabinet modules, hinge cup and edge distances. Tool notes: table saw, circular saw, jigsaw, trimmer, square, chalk line, clamps, sander, drill, spirit level—with real copy, not empty pages. UTILITIES Unit converter (including an approximate Chinese chi), large-key calculator, spirit level, compass, sound level. Switch millimeters, centimeters, meters, or inches; all math is stored in millimeters. The compass shows heading and warns about magnetic interference. The sound meter is a relative level, not a calibrated instrument, for jobsite reference only—not a legal sound level meter. HISTORY AND EXPORT Save calculations on device and run them again later. Save result images to Photos. Nesting layouts and wardrobe/wine-rack part lists export as PDF.
