Store description excerpt
Canine Resp. Monitor is an assistive app for counting your dog's breathing rate - especially useful for dogs with mitral valve disease or other heart conditions. It helps owners record accurate data at home and share it with veterinarians for better treatment and follow-up. Note: This app is not a medical device. Overview Have you ever been told by your vet to "count your dog's breaths"? Estimating for 5 or 10 seconds and multiplying often leads to large errors. This app guides you through a full one minute measurement to improve accuracy. Each swipe counts one breath while the one minute timer runs automatically. After measurement, you can label the record as Sleep (deep sleep) or Rest (light sleep or relaxation). Your data is timestamped and plotted on easy to read charts. Main Features Swipe to Count: The first swipe starts the timer; next swipes add counts. Reset: Tap the left arrow icon under the chart to reset. Stop: Tap STOP to pause timing anytime. Adjust: Manually correct tens or ones digits if needed. Save Data: Tap Sleep or Rest to save records. Chart View: Free version shows 7 days of dots; Pro adds 1M, 3M, 6M, and 1Y ranges. Export CSV: Available in Pro version. Color Alerts: High rates highlighted with yellow or red rings for reference. Data Management: Delete individually by swipe or clear all. Multilingual Support Available in English, Japanese, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. Why It Was Created My own dog has mitral valve insufficiency. When the vet asked me, "How often did you measure her breathing?" I could not answer clearly. I used to count for only a few seconds and multiply, but the vet explained that even a small difference matters. A one minute count can reveal important changes. Yet keeping track for a full minute proved difficult - dogs move, we lose count, and records pile up. So I built this app to make accurate counting and record keeping simple. When I showed the results to my vet, the response was very positive. That encouraged me to share it with others who love their dogs and face the same challenge. Usage Notes This app is not a medical device. If high breathing rates continue, consult your veterinarian. Environment and posture can affect results. Use these records as reference data for your vet visits. For You and Your Dog May this app support your daily peace of mind. Observing your dog's breathing gently each day can help detect changes early and protect precious time together.
