Sirens just went past. This tells you what they were. CallSign shows every active fire and EMS call in Lane County the moment dispatch sends it: where it is on a map, which units are assigned, and a timeline of the response. Alongside it runs live scanner audio you can listen to while your phone is locked — Eugene and Springfield on Firecom 1, Cottage Grove and South Lane on East/South Dispatch, and the HEAR hospital net. WHAT IT DOES - A live call board that updates continuously as calls are dispatched and cleared - Map and list views, whichever way you prefer to read a busy night - Live scanner audio, with background playback and lock-screen controls - Call detail: the units assigned, their status changes, and a timeline of the response - A searchable archive of past calls, with the dispatch audio attached - Set a home location and sort the board by what is closest to you - Optional alerts for the call types and areas you choose HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT KNOWS Most dispatch apps hide what they cannot determine. This one shows you. A location that resolves only to an intersection, a milepost or a block is drawn as an area, never as a confident pin on the wrong house. Calls that cannot be placed appear in their own list with the raw dispatch address, instead of quietly vanishing. If the feed is delayed or degraded, the app says so and tells you how old the information is. An empty board reads "No active calls, feed healthy", because a quiet shift and a broken app should never look the same. A dispatch code the app does not recognise is shown exactly as sent, not guessed at. A call that has been cleared says so, with the time it closed. The call board is county-wide. The scanner is not, and the app does not pretend otherwise. Two dispatch channels are published — Eugene and Springfield, and Cottage Grove and South Lane. Roughly one call in ten is dispatched somewhere neither channel carries: Veneta and Elmira, Junction City, Oakridge, Eugene Rural, the airport. Those calls still appear on the board, in full, with no audio attached. PRIVACY No account, no sign-in, no advertising. A home location you set stays on the device. Distances are worked out on the phone, and the coordinate is never sent to us. What does leave the phone: Google Analytics records which features get used, such as that audio started or that a call was opened. Anything you type into the contact form or archive search is sent to us to answer it or run the query. ABOUT THE DATA Incident information comes from publicly available Lane County computer-aided dispatch data. Audio comes from a radio receiver operated by BarnardHQ monitoring unencrypted VHF fire dispatch, the same broadcasts any scanner in the county can receive. Information may be delayed, incomplete, or updated as a call develops.
