Store description excerpt

Cairn is a quiet space to notice what matters to you. You sort a deck of 100 value cards, one at a time, into three piles: Very Important, Important, and Not Important. Then you narrow the pile you care most about to a handful, usually ten, and stack them in order. On a trail, a cairn of stacked stones marks the way. Your Cairn is built from your most important values, and it does the same. A finished Cairn is meant to be sat with, not filed away. Each of your top values comes with a gentle question about where it shows up in your life, and an invitation toward one small step. If you feel like writing, your words stay with that value, kept on your device for you alone. The shape of your Cairn shows which areas of life your top values come from, drawn as a little stack of stones. A home-screen widget can keep one of your values in view, or show a different value every day if you like. Browse all 100 values in the library, each with a fuller description, and search them by name or meaning. If a value you live by is missing, you can add it manually and sort it like any other card. When you want the app to feel like somewhere else, simply choose a new landscape: Desert, Coastline, Alpine, or Moorland — each recolors Cairn and its icon while changing nothing else. Your Cairn is easy to keep and easy to hand over. Share it as a single quiet image, export it as a one-page PDF made for a therapist’s folder or your own notes, or simply return to it in Previous Cairns and notice what has shifted since last time. FREE, FULLY UNLOCKED Every feature is included for everyone. If Cairn helps you, an optional tip jar is the only thing for sale, and tipping changes nothing in the app. DESIGNED TO BE CALM One decision at a time. Pause a sort and pick it up days later, right where you left off. No streaks, no badges, no pressure. Cairn never tells you what your values mean about you, and it never puts your reflection on a schedule. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything you sort and write stays on your device. No account, no ads, no analytics. Data Not Collected means exactly that. ACCESSIBLE THROUGHOUT Every drag has a tap alternative. VoiceOver and Voice Control work across the whole app, and Cairn honors Reduced Motion and follows your text size up to the largest accessibility sizes. A THOUGHTFUL LINEAGE The card set descends from the Miller Personal Values Card Sort (2001, public domain), expanded with additions drawn from contemporary values research. Cairn is a reflection tool. It is not therapy or medical advice, and it is not a substitute for professional care.
