The main mission of the sending of the Prophet Muhammad saw. is to perfect moral nobility. In line with that, it is explained in the Koran that He was sent only to spread love to the universe. In the structure of Islamic teachings, moral education is the most important. Strengthening the faith is basic. Meanwhile, worship is a means, while the ultimate goal is the development of noble morals. In this regard, the Prophet Muhammad SAW said, "The believer with the most perfect faith is the one with the best morals"*1 and "The person with the best Islam is the one with the best morals".*2 In other words, only noble morals are fulfilled. Only the nature of affection can be proof of the strength of faith and the goodness of worship. In line with this, Islamic Religious Education and Character Education are oriented towards the formation of noble morals, full of compassion, towards all elements of the universe. This is in line with the 2013 Curriculum which is designed to develop complete competencies between knowledge, skills and attitudes. Apart from that, students are not only expected to increase their knowledge and insight, but also increase their abilities and skills and become nobler in character and personality or have noble character. This book on Islamic Religious Education and Character for Class IX was written in that spirit. Learning is divided into several religious activities that students must carry out in an effort to understand their religious knowledge and actualize it in real actions and daily attitudes that are in accordance with the guidance of their religion, both in the form of ritual worship and social worship. The teacher's role is very important to increase and adapt students' absorption capacity to the availability of activities in this book. Teachers can enrich it with creations in the form of other activities sourced from the surrounding natural, social and cultural environment. This book is very open to input and will continue to be revised for improvement. Therefore, we invite readers to provide criticism, suggestions and input to improve and perfect the next edition.
