BudgetCal is designed to help you track what you eat every day in the cheapest and simplest way possible. Mainstream calorie tracking tools work great for labeled foods: Convenience store items, packaged foods, frozen meals — they can scan barcodes and have comprehensive databases. If you mostly eat these types of foods, those apps might suit you better. But if you cook at home, eat out, grab food from buffets, food stalls, lunch boxes, or night markets… These meals usually have no barcodes and no nutrition labels. Unless you weigh each ingredient separately, it's really hard to calculate. In recent years, some photo-based nutrition estimation tools have emerged. They're intuitive to use, but most require subscriptions for long-term use. Meanwhile, today's leading AI services offer free tiers that are more than enough for daily estimation. They're also more versatile — you can discuss cooking, fitness, or any topic you care about. And they keep improving, getting smarter over time. Given this, subscribing to yet another photo-based calorie tool seems unnecessary. That's why we built BudgetCal. It has no database and no barcode scanner. You can estimate nutrition with your favorite AI, then come back to BudgetCal and "paste." The fields fill in automatically, and your meal is logged. This way, you can organize your daily food intake quickly without spending much. Daily recommended intake can be set in three ways: by body fat percentage, by height and weight, or customized to your own pace. No subscriptions. No ads. One-time purchase, lifetime use. Lightweight and quiet — it won't intrude on your life. When you start tracking, you start changing.
