Store description excerpt

BudgetBuckets is envelope budgeting, made playful. Set your monthly income, pour it into buckets — Household, Car, Entertainment, whatever fits your life — and watch each bucket fill up as the month goes on. WHERE EXPENSES COME FROM When your bank texts you a purchase alert, press and hold the message, tap Select, then Share, and pick BudgetBuckets. The expense pops into the app as a soft, wobbly blob, usually already labeled with the bucket it belongs in — one tap and it's filed. No bank logins, no account linking, no manual typing (unless you want to). BUCKETS THAT TALK BACK Every bucket shows a fill bar of actual vs. planned spending. Go over and it turns red, gives a little wobble, and lets you know. Drag blobs into buckets with your finger, toss transfers and duplicates into the trash zone, and pull anything back out if you change your mind. SMART LITTLE TOUCHES • Duplicate detector — banks sometimes send the same alert twice; the copy shows up with a blue ring so you can bin it in one tap. • Line items — break a bucket into pieces (rent, groceries, utilities) and the bucket plans itself. • Monthly reset — at month's end, archive the month and "empty the buckets": everything resets to your saved defaults for a fresh start. • Month sharing — export a month as a small file and AirDrop it to a family member's phone to view. • A starter plan based on a typical Canadian household budget, ready to reshape into yours. PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION BudgetBuckets has no internet connection at all. No accounts, no cloud, no analytics, no ads, no tracking — the app literally contains no networking code. It never reads your messages; it only receives the individual texts you choose to share into it. Your budget lives on your phone and nowhere else. Budgeting apps usually feel like homework. This one feels like recess.
