Budget Book is a household budget app for Android — and it does more than record where your money went. It works out what follows from it. Your own entries turn into a forecast for the end of the month and for your balance over the coming months. You see it getting tight early, instead of noticing on the 28th. All data stays on your device. No account, no bank login, no cloud, no ads, no tracking. RECORD AND MANAGE • Accounts — keep several accounts (cash, checking, savings) and move money between them • Entries — record income and expenses with category, date and note • Preferred payment account — stop switching accounts on every entry • Recurring payments — set up rent, subscriptions and bills once, have them booked automatically, get reminded in time • Standing orders — fixed transfers between your own accounts, such as a monthly savings transfer • Reminders — free-form notes on your own schedule • Receipt photos — snap a receipt, the picture goes to your gallery • Search — by name, note, category or amount, with greater/less/between, any period and any account • Categories — with icon, colour and a monthly budget limit • Budget limits — the app warns you as you enter an item once a category reaches its limit ANALYSE • Charts for spending, income and balance over time • Savings rate, largest categories, month-on-month comparison • Category trends over time • Year in review • Compare your spending with the national average • Export as PDF or CSV • Accounting export with a free date range and a category breakdown INSIGHTS AND CALCULATORS • Month-end forecast — what is likely to be left at the end of the month • Cashflow forecast — your balance over the next six months • Fixed-cost radar — what subscriptions and fixed costs really cost you per month • Cancellation calculator — what cancelling a subscription is worth over years • Reserve calculator — how long your balance would last with no income • What-if — work out the saving potential of any category • Personal inflation — how much your own spending has risen • Savings goals with a reality check — when you reach a goal at your actual savings rate • Savings plan calculator — compound interest, tax and inflation included PRIVACY Budget Book collects nothing. There is no server, no sign-in and no analytics. There is deliberately no bank connection either: you never hand over credentials, and your transactions never leave your device. Backups are files you create yourself, wherever you want them. PREMIUM Premium is a one-time purchase — no subscription, no running costs. It covers the calculators and the extended analysis listed above, plus higher limits: up to 20 accounts instead of 5, up to 100 custom categories instead of 5, and up to 20 savings goals instead of 5. The free version stays usable for good: entries, accounts, categories, recurring payments, search, charts, backup and the month-end forecast need no purchase.
