ABOUT BROWARD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT: Broward County's Emergency Management Division is responsible for coordinating the county's preparation, response, recovery, and mitigation efforts for all types of emergencies and disasters. From hurricane season to public health emergencies, the division works around the clock to protect the 1.9 million residents of Broward County. The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) serves as the central command and coordination hub during activations. When the EOC is activated, all relevant county departments, municipalities, and partner agencies work together to ensure a swift and effective response.
