BreakFinder - Surf Skate turns your Apple Watch into a surfskate trick counter. It detects — in real time — the six moves every surfskater cares about: pump, carve, drop-in, kickturn, slide and stall. No phone needed on the board. BUILT FOR SURFSKATE, NOT GENERIC MOTION Generic activity trackers just log a workout. BreakFinder reads the actual signature of each surfskate move with a purpose-built FSM detection algorithm — accelerometer + GPS fusion, developed from motion-science research and proven across the BreakFinder platform, then ported natively to Swift and tuned for watchOS. WHAT IT DOES • Real-time detection of pumps, carves, drop-ins, kickturns, slides and stalls • Three modes — Flatground (pumps, carves, slides), Transition (drop-ins, kickturns, stalls), or Mixed • Stance-aware — Regular or Goofy, or auto-detected from your first carves • Haptic confirmation — a tap and a visual flash on every validated trick • Live metrics — heart rate, calories, time, speed and distance while you ride • Session history — per-trick breakdown, GPS track, and HR/calorie stats saved locally • Water-locked by default — turn the Digital Crown to stop; no accidental taps from sweaty hands • Full HealthKit integration — sessions appear in the Fitness app SURF TRAINING ON LAND Surfskate is how surfers train pumping, carving and rail-to-rail flow between sessions.
