Store description excerpt
Bound locks the apps that pull you away from reading, and only unlocks them once you prove you actually read something. HOW IT WORKS - Pick which apps, categories, or websites to block using Screen Time. - Mark where you're up to in your book. Some books are built in, or import your own EPUB. - To unlock, answer a short quiz about what you just read. Questions are generated and graded on-device by Apple Intelligence: no network, no account, nothing leaves your phone. If your device doesn't support it, Bound falls back to Gemini using your own free API key. - Forget to re-lock? Auto-lock reapplies the shield on its own after a time you set. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT Most blockers stop you with a timer or a password you'll just ignore. Bound makes the unlock cost something real: proof you read. Skimming doesn't cut it: the questions are about specific details from the pages you marked as read. FEATURES - On-device AI quiz generation and grading: private by default - Optional Gemini fallback with your own API key, never bundled or shared - Auto re-lock after a configurable window - Home Screen widget and Live Activity showing your reading progress and lock countdown - Reading streaks to keep you coming back - Import any EPUB, or start with some included books Bound doesn't track you, doesn't show ads, and doesn't require an account. It's a tool to help you read more, not another app competing for your attention.
