Store description excerpt

BosonCode connects your iPad to the computer you already own. The editor and the terminal appear on the tablet; the heavy work happens on your machine. REQUIRES A COMPUTER OF YOUR OWN This app is a client: you need your own Linux or macOS machine running code-server through the project's free, open-source script, plus Tailscale on both devices. Without that, BosonCode has nothing to connect to. Setting it up on the computer is a single command. WHAT YOU GET · Your computer's environment, with its extensions, its interpreters and its GPU. · Jupyter notebooks that actually run, with their kernel and their plots. · A native terminal in its own window, not one inside a web page. · Several windows at once, each on a different machine. · Docker containers created and managed from the app. · SSH from one machine to any other it can reach. BUILT FOR THE IPAD Keyboard shortcuts behave the way you expect. The terminal scrolls with two fingers and coasts through its history with momentum. Drop a file onto it and its path appears at the prompt, ready for the next command. NO OPEN PORTS Everything travels over your private Tailscale network. Your computer is never exposed to the internet, and there are no servers in between: the connection is between your two devices. NO ACCOUNTS, NO TRACKING No sign-up, no analytics, no third-party SDKs. Your machine's password is kept in the iPad Keychain and never leaves it. BosonCode is an independent client for code-server. Visual Studio Code is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft.
