Store description excerpt
Boomzicht is the tree inspection app for the arborist. You open the app, stand by the tree, and record what you see. Species, dimensions, condition, defects, fungi, and infestations—all in technical terms and in the order in which you are already looking. The tree appears on the map at your current location, on an aerial photo with a resolution of 7.5 centimeters per pixel, so that during the next round, you know exactly which tree you are looking at. Hands full? Record the inspection voice. Boomzicht converts your words into completed fields, using the technical jargon you use yourself: circumference 140, condition fair, dead wood in the crown, branch collar. You check it and save it. The status follows your expertise. Defects you can fix turn it into a high-risk tree; defects that cannot be fixed make it a tree requiring attention. If you open further investigation, the tree remains a high-risk tree until that investigation is completed. After maintenance, you press a button and the tree is just a tree again, with its entire history still underneath. You supervise young saplings separately. A young tree receives pruning sessions instead of inspections, with a before-and-after photo taken from the same spot. The app remembers when you need to return and when the pruned branches need to be removed. For every tree, you create a report containing your own logo, your name, your signature, and your ETW pass. For an entire project, you create one with a cover page and a summary. The report also indicates when the next inspection is due. You print it, save it, or send it directly to your client. The tree owner has their own dedicated space. They create a file for their property, invite their tree care specialist, and monitor progress via their own portal: their trees on the map, current status, and a button to submit a request with a photo. They approve the measures themselves. They cannot change the inspection process. If he ever switches tree care specialists, the file remains his, containing all the history. The app monitors the timeframes. A standard inspection is due every three years, or sooner in case of urgency. Anyone who wishes will automatically receive a notification, which can be turned on or off per file. Boomzicht works outdoors. Large buttons, readable in the sun, and a rain mode for when there is absolutely no other option. The app is available in Dutch, English, German, and French, and species names switch between the national language and Latin with a tap. The data is stored on servers in Sweden, within the European Union. A file is free for up to five trees subject to the duty of care and remains readable at all times, no matter what happens. Boomzicht was created by a tree care specialist, because existing management programs were built for municipalities and not for the man in the field. The app opens directly on the map, without a login screen. So you can simply look around. You only need an account once you want to re
