Store description excerpt
Find nearby Bluetooth devices using your Mac. BlueHunt turns your Mac into a simple Bluetooth proximity finder. Scan for nearby devices, choose the one you’re looking for, then follow its live signal strength as you move around. Whether you’re trying to work out which room you left your headphones in, locate a nearby Bluetooth accessory, or identify devices around your desk, BlueHunt gives you a clear view of what your Mac can currently detect. Hunt with live signal strength Select a device and BlueHunt continuously monitors its Bluetooth signal. A large live dBm reading, proximity indicator and signal history help you see whether the signal is getting stronger or weaker as you move. Warmer or colder BlueHunt analyses recent readings and shows simple Warmer, Colder or Steady feedback, helping you search without needing to interpret every RSSI value yourself. My Devices Quickly identify devices paired with your Mac and star devices you want to find again. Switch to My Devices to hide unrelated Bluetooth traffic and focus on the devices that matter to you. Nearby device scanner See Bluetooth devices currently visible to your Mac, ordered by signal strength. Search, filter and select a device to begin hunting. Optional proximity sound Turn on audio feedback and BlueHunt can increase the pace of its proximity clicks as the Bluetooth signal gets stronger, so you can keep looking around instead of watching the screen. Private by design Bluetooth scanning and signal analysis happen locally on your Mac. BlueHunt does not require an account, analytics service or cloud connection, and your nearby-device information is not sent to us. Please note Bluetooth signal strength is affected by walls, furniture, people, interference and the device itself. BlueHunt uses RSSI as a relative proximity guide and cannot determine an exact physical distance or direction. BlueHunt is not a replacement for GPS-based device-location services. A device must be powered on, within Bluetooth range and currently detectable by your Mac for BlueHunt to see it.
