Store description excerpt

An eight by eight board. Three pieces you can spin. And the question every block puzzle gets around to eventually: does that still fit? No timer. No lives to sit around waiting for. Just you, the board, and the space you keep running out of. HOW IT WORKS • Drag a piece from the tray onto the board. • Wrong shape? Spin it. Tap a piece, hit the rotate button, and it turns on the spot. Most block puzzles make you play the hand you're dealt — this one doesn't. • It stays where you drop it. No gravity. • Fill a whole row or column and — pop — it clears. • The tray refills. When none of your three pieces fit anywhere — spun any way you like — that's the run. Takes a minute to learn. The hard part is remembering to leave room for whatever comes next. You will not remember. WHAT'S IN THE GAME • Spin control — every piece in the tray rotates, free, as many times as you like. The corner you'd written off becomes a clear. • Every opening board drawn by hand — a pair of scissors, a kite, a butterfly, a gift box, a postage stamp. Each game starts you somewhere new, and you have to take it apart. • Endless play — one run, as far as you can get. • Combo streaks — keep clearing on consecutive moves and the points come in waves. • Empty the board completely and there's a bonus waiting. It is not easy. Fair warning. • The blinking cell — clear its line and the prize is yours: drop it on a color and every block of that color vanishes at once. Save it for the moment nothing fits. • The fuller your board gets, the more the pieces you're handed change. The game is watching. • Two themes: Paper and Wood. • Blocks with faces — leave them alone for a moment and they start pulling faces at you. Poke one and they scatter. ONE HAND, ANYWHERE Portrait, drag and drop, one thumb does it all. On a plane, underground, waiting in a queue — it never asks for a signal. Walk away mid-run and your board is sitting exactly where you left it. You'll say one more game. You will. Blomino: Block Puzzle. Eight by eight. Three pieces. Give them a spin.
