বিদআত বিদআত বলা হয় দ্বীন ও ইবাদতে নব আবিষ্কৃত কাজকে। অর্থাৎ দ্বীন বা ইবাদত মনে করে করা এমন কাজকে বিদআত বলা হবে, যে কাজের কুরআন ও সহীহ সুন্নাহর কোন দলীল নেই। রাসুলুল্লাহ (সঃ) বলেন, “তোমরা (দ্বীন) নব উদ্ভাবিত কর্মসমূহ (বিদআত) থেকে বেঁচে থাকবে। কারণ, প্রত্যেক বিদআতই ভ্রষ্টতা।” ৮১ (আবূ দাঊদ, তিরমিযী) “যে ব্যক্তি আমার এই দ্বীনে (নিজের পক্ষ থেকে) কোন নতুন কিছু উদ্ভাবন করল--- যা তাঁর মধ্যে নেই, তা প্রত্যাখ্যানযোগ্য।” ৮২ (বুখারী ও মুসলিম) মুসলিমের অন্য এক বর্ণনায় আছে, “যে ব্যাক্তি এমন কাজ করল, যে ব্যপারে আমাদের নির্দেশ নেই, তা বর্জনীয়।” বলা বাহুল্য, নব আবিষ্কৃত পার্থিব কোন বিষয়কে বিদআত বলা যাবে না। যেমন শরীয়াতে নিষিদ্ধ কোন কাজকে বিদআত বলা হয় না। বরং তাকে অবৈধ, হারাম বা মাকরূহ বলা হয়। এই এপ্সে বিদআত সম্পর্কে বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করা হয়েছে। ইসলামিক জ্ঞান অর্জনের একটা ভালো মাধ্যম হতে পারে এই বিদআত অ্যাপ্সটি।আমরা পর্যায়ক্রমে আরো ফিচার যুক্ত করব ইনশা আল্লাহ। Bidat is the newly invented activities in Islam.
