This version of the Bible represents fully and unmodified the biblical text revised by Metropolitan Bartholomew and approved by the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church. The Romanian language of this edition is the clearest and most appropriate for a modern reader who does not always have access to the theological and philological subtleities of the Bible. "I decided that the whole work would appear under the sign of diorrhea," says the author, "and this is not necessarily modesty, but scientific rigor and moral probity. Originality at all costs involves the risk of disfigurement. " And he also gives us the explanation: "The border between translation and diorrhea is sometimes extremely thin. The translation is to find an absolutely new equivalence of the original text, while diorrhea is no more than a correction in the given text (a lexical and grammatical update, a modernization in content and form - n.n.). In my case, the text of Matthew 1: 2 is a translation, but the one in John 1.1 - a diorrhea. " On the eve of Christmas of the year 1990, the Bible began to work (revision), beginning with the New Testament text, which was later extended to the whole of the Sacred Scripture for eleven years.
