WHEN TO USE IT After a trip, choose your favorite shots of each place. Before posting, compare your selfies. Once a booking or shopping trip is over, clear the screenshots you saved as reminders. Work through a few photos on your commute or before bed. SWIPE THROUGH PHOTOS AND VIDEOS Swipe left to mark for deletion, right to keep, or up to skip. Play videos to check what's in them. If you can't decide, skip that item and keep going. COMPARE SIMILAR PHOTOS WITH BEST SHOT CLEANUP Compare two photos at a time and choose the keeper. Your chosen photo meets the next candidate, so you don't have to judge a whole grid at once. Look for the expression you love in a burst of family photos or the selfie you want to share. CLEAN UP IN GROUPS Review groups of duplicate or similar photos and mark unwanted items for deletion together. You can also focus on a type of media, such as screenshots or videos. ORGANIZE KEEPERS INTO ALBUMS Add photos to an existing iOS album or create a new one for a trip, family or pets. You can also enable saving your chosen best shots to a dedicated album. REVIEW BEFORE DELETING Swiping alone doesn't delete a photo. Review your selection, then confirm using the iOS delete prompt. Deleted items can normally be restored from Recently Deleted in the Photos app for 30 days. Items permanently deleted from there cannot be restored. SEE YOUR PROGRESS See how many items you've cleared and their estimated size. The estimate can differ from the actual space available on your iPhone. Recently Deleted and other iOS storage behavior can delay changes to available space.
