Berlin Chess is a map of everywhere in the city you can sit down at a board. More than eighty places: the traditional clubs with their Tuesday evenings, the cafés with a standing Saturday meetup, the park tables, and the Späti with boards on the pavement from seven. Each one with its address, what actually happens there, and a route from where you are. And a calendar of what is on. Tournaments, club nights and blitz evenings from across Berlin, gathered from the Berliner Schachverband's own calendar and from the public calendars the clubs publish themselves — then read by a person before anything appears here. Grouped by when they happen: today, tomorrow, next week. Multi-day tournaments show on every day they run, not just the day they open. Save the places you actually play at. Berlin has eighty; you will use four. Tap the star and they are on your profile, one tap from the map and from directions. Free. In English and German. No advertising, no tracking, no analytics. WHAT IT IS NOT You cannot play chess in this app. It tells you where the people are. ABOUT THE DATA Venues were researched one at a time from the Berliner Schachverband's club list. Über achtzig Orte: die traditionsreichen Vereine mit ihren Dienstagabenden, die Cafés mit festem Samstagstreff, die Tische im Park und der Späti, vor dem ab sieben die Bretter stehen. Jeweils mit Adresse, was dort wirklich läuft, und der Route von deinem Standort. Dazu ein Kalender. Turniere, Spieleabende und Blitzturniere aus ganz Berlin — aus dem Terminkalender des Berliner Schachverbands und den öffentlichen Kalendern der Vereine, geprüft von einem Menschen, bevor etwas erscheint. Sortiert danach, wann sie stattfinden: heute, morgen, nächste Woche. Mehrtägige Turniere stehen an jedem Tag, an dem sie laufen. Speichere die Orte, an denen du wirklich spielst.
