This application allows a user of the application to validate the datamatrix, a 2D barcode, on the back of the datapage of the Belgian Passport. The datamatrix contains the following information: - Name - Firstname(s) - Birthdate - Passportnumber - Passport expiration date The data within the datamatrix is signed with a signing certificate and the application allows to verifiy the authenticity of this digital signature as an extra verification that can be used to detect counterfeiting.
