The village of Bellova Ves lies in the Danubian Lowland in the northern part of Žitný ostrov. The colony called Bellova Ves was established on the territory of the Vitény court only in the 20th century (in 1923) as part of the First Land Reform. The colony of Hviezdoslav and Miloslav was established in 1921 as the first colonies on Žitný Ostrov. In 1925, land from other cadastral areas - Ronyaipuszta and Csorgepuszta - became part of it. The allotment of land to the colonists was from the Šamorín estates owned by Vojtech Pálffy. The colony intervened in the cadastral areas of Tonkovce, Vojtechovce, Maslovce, Čenkovce, Horná Potôň, Veľký Lég. In 1929, the settlement had 310 inhabitants. As of October 1, 1936, there were 61 families settling in the colony, who owned farms of three to twenty hectares, with a total area of 746.0948 hectares. Since 1938, Bellova Ves has been an independent administrative unit with 26 Moravian families, 25 Slovak families, 9 Hungarian families and 1 Czech family. A one-class Slovak school was also opened in the village and the Fire Brigade and Food Cooperative was founded. The village had its own library with 207 volumes of books. In 1938, the village fell to Hungary. After 1945, it became part of the village of Tonkovce, from which it became independent in 1955. In the years 1976 - 1990 it was part of the village Blahová. Since 1991, it is again an independent municipality. There are no registered monuments in the village registered in the Central List of Monuments of the Slovak Republic. Due to the short history of the settlement of the village, no specific traditions have been preserved here.
