HOW DOES IT WORK? Filter on Beam by cause and discover brands you can shop at funding causes you care about. Go to purchase stuff you need (like lunch, clothes, potted plants!) and select a nonprofit that the brand supports at checkout. The brand donates ~1% of your order to the nonprofit you selected, at no extra cost to you. Go to Beam to track your impact towards tangible goals for nonprofits - like funding 2 college prep courses, or 250 early detection screenings for breast cancer. HOW IS BEAM FREE? Our founders made Beam because they realized a lot of us want to make a difference every day, and we have to buy things all the time. Most of us (91%!) would prefer to spend our money with brands that are actually mission-driven (directly supporting nonprofits, consistent business practices with the values they show on social media, etc.) but it's tough when you're not really sure which brands are walking-the-walk, rather than talking-the-social-impact-talk.
