The BB HWFRS app (the App) is developed and maintained by Sound Culture Ltd T/As MissyRedBoots (MissyRedBoots) on behalf of Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service at no cost to the user. It is one of a series of Backup Buddy mental health and wellbeing awareness apps designed for UK Police and Emergency Services. The App covers a range of wellbeing topics faced by emergency services staff, including mental, social, physical and financial health and the challenges people might face. It gives practical advice and support on how staff can maintain good overall wellbeing, spot warning signs for themselves and others, and how to get help for themselves and colleagues. The App can also include staff stories which users can relate to, leading to feeling less isolated. There are specific pathways mapped for help and support, including 24hr support. General tips, specific signposting and a directory of Useful Contacts are provided.
