All 810 practice questions in this app are in Norwegian. The app interface is in English, the exam content is not, because Båtførerprøven is a Norwegian exam sat in Norwegian. Practise for Båtførerprøven with 810 questions, and arrive on exam day without surprises. THE WHOLE SYLLABUS, SPLIT AS IN THE SYLLABUS BOOK The questions cover all three syllabus areas: seamanship, rules and regulations, and navigation and chart reading. On top of that, 315 questions are flagged as "Important topics", the subjects that count double on the exam itself. EXAM SIMULATOR WITH BOTH PASS MARKS The simulator sets 50 questions in 60 minutes, exactly like the real exam. It is also the part that is easiest to underestimate: you need at least 40 of 50 correct OVERALL, and at least 10 of 12 correct among the important topics. So you can score 40 correct and still fail. The app shows you both numbers after every attempt, so you know exactly what is missing. EXPLANATIONS, NOT JUST THE RIGHT ANSWER 433 of the questions carry an explanation of why the answer is correct. Where it helps, images come with it. IMAGES, SEA MARKS AND NAVIGATION LIGHTS 433 questions have an image, and many cover what is hardest to memorise from a book: sea marks, navigation lights, chart symbols and signal flags. Light characteristics are shown as animation, because a repeating flash cannot be conveyed by a still picture. PRACTISE THE WAY YOU WANT Browse every question, take only the ones you have not answered, or filter by a single topic. The app remembers what you answered, and the readiness meter shows how far you have come. WORKS WITHOUT A CONNECTION All the content lives in the app. No sign-in, no account, no downloading as you go. You can practise at the cabin, on the boat or on the bus. ABOUT THE EXAM Båtførerprøven is required if you were born on 1 January 1980 or later and will be operating a boat over 8 metres or with more than 25 hp. You can sit it from the age of 14, and the certificate is issued when you turn 16. Sjøfartsdirektoratet sets the regulations and the syllabus, and Norsk Test AS runs the exam and keeps the register. This app is an independent practice tool.
