Store description excerpt
Basket Library reads PDF and DjVu files on your iPhone and iPad, and opens the library you keep in Basket on your computer. Two places to read On Device holds the files you import from Files or send over from another app. They sit on the phone, so they open with no network at all. Basket connects to the Basket app running on your Mac, Windows, or Linux machine over your local network. You browse the same library you see there — all documents, the inbox, favorites, folders, tags, and smart groups — search it, and open anything in it. Download a copy and it reads offline afterwards. Pairing Your desktop announces itself on the network, so the app usually finds it on its own. Scan the pairing code shown on the desktop, or type the six-digit code. There is no account to make and nothing passes through a server of ours: the phone talks to your own machine and nowhere else. Reading PDF and DjVu render page by page, with a page indicator you can tap to jump somewhere else. The app remembers where you stopped in each document and comes back to it. Images, web pages, notes, and manuscripts kept in Basket open too. Offline The document list, the covers, and any copy you downloaded stay on the device. When the desktop is out of reach the app says so and keeps showing what it already has. What it does not do It reads; it does not edit. Nothing you do on the phone changes the library on your computer. The Basket half needs the desktop app running on the same network. The On Device half does not. English and Simplified Chinese.
