Photos keep what you saw. They usually lose the person who saw it. bAk. is a private camera that leaves a small monochrome stamp of you on the back of every photo at the moment you press the shutter. And that photo does not open right away. The roll opens when you finish it. Shoot all 24 frames and the roll opens on the spot. Fall short and it opens three days after the first frame. Until then the shots you have taken exist only as black frames — the waiting is this camera's sense of time. One shutter. A front and a back. The rear camera makes the front of the photo. At that same shutter moment, you become a small black-and-white stamp on its back. The front camera is never shown as a preview. The front color original is never saved. The front image is immediately converted on-device into a monochrome stamp of up to 640px. The color source is not saved, even as a temporary file. Every photo gets one back side. Return to your expression with a short note, capture time, and place name. Flip each card, then share it as a short flip video, a paired image, or the front photo alone. No feed. No followers. No server. Your photos and notes are not sent to the app developer. Records stay on this iPhone and in the device backup you control. Precise location coordinates are removed from exported files. Your first roll of 24 is free. After that, one lifetime purchase unlocks new captures. Without a purchase, you can always view, edit, delete, and share everything you already made.
