Badger Solar Racing brings live telemetry from Sunburst, our solar car to your iPhone or iPad — a dashboard for chase-car crews, pit-side engineers, team members, and anyone following BSR’s solar racing program. Built by the University of Wisconsin–Madison Badger Solar Racing team, the app connects to the car’s telemetry stream and shows speed, battery state of charge, solar power, motor temperatures, fault flags, GPS position, and hundreds of engineering signals organized by subsystem. LIVE DASHBOARD • Real-time metrics and system health with color-coded alerts • Interactive 3D model of the Sunburst solar car body • Auto-refreshing data for track-side use SYSTEMS & SIGNALS • Browse telemetry by category: battery, solar, motor, safety, and more • Search individual signals with units and status MAP & STRATEGY • Track the car’s GPS on interactive maps • Route overlays and weather forecasts for race planning • Shows the car’s location from telemetry, not your device’s location IPAD FEATURES • Infotainment-style dashboard and fullscreen telemetry views • Optional USB backup camera preview • Optional Spotify for authorized team accounts ACCOUNT • Sign in with Apple, Google, or GitHub for member features • In-app account deletion in Settings IMPORTANT: This is a read-only monitoring app. It does not control the vehicle.
