Often referred to as the pearl of the Swabian Alb, Bad Urach is the ideal starting point for a hiking holiday. For a hiking tour around Bad Urach, the five premium hiking trails “Grafensteige” with the Wasserfallsteig, which was named Germany's most beautiful hiking trail in 2016, and the equally varied Hohenurachsteig, Hohenwittlingensteig, Hochberg and Seeburgsteig, are ideal. Sporty, but not alpine, the half-day tours lead to the beauties of the former volcanic area. Roaring waterfalls, impressive castle ruins, lush green beech forests and gigantic viewing rocks along the edge of the Albtrauf, make the area around the city a real paradise for hikers.
