Backflow Log helps certified Massachusetts backflow testers manage independent work, from the first customer call to the next test. Keep customers and assemblies together, record readings in the field, prepare paperwork, and track what needs attention. No account or per-test fee. Recordkeeping and PDF generation work offline; sending reports requires a connection. MASSACHUSETTS PAPERWORK Prepare inspection reports on the original MassDEP Form 8 template. Add separately dated repair/retest visits, each with its own Form 10, readings, repair details, and signatures. An appendix keeps long notes and additional details readable. Completeness checks highlight missing information; incomplete packets are clearly marked DRAFT - DO NOT FILE and can be exported for review. Choose RP, RPDA, DC, DCDA, PVB, or SVB assemblies. Enter the applicable readings and review the calculated result. A failed inspection remains unresolved while its retest is unfinished. Follow your certification training and current test procedures. RESUME INTERRUPTED WORK Field test edits save automatically as drafts. Return after an interruption and continue where you left off. Pending edits remain separate from the saved report until you save them. Saved report details stay preserved when you update customer or tester information. TRACK REPORT DELIVERY Save reusable filing instructions for each water system: email, portal, mail, in person, or another route. Track water-supplier and owner copies separately, with dates, references, notes, and retained PDFs. Sharing a file does not automatically mark it delivered. Check each supplier's current requirements; the app does not submit reports automatically or guarantee acceptance. PLAN VISITS AND FOLLOW-UPS Record contacted, booked, no-show, completed, or cancelled work. Set appointment times, durations, contact dates, and next follow-ups. One visit can cover several devices. See open work on the Dashboard and warnings for overlapping appointments or visits beyond testing deadlines. Completing a visit does not create a test result or change a filing deadline. BRING YOUR CUSTOMER BOOK Import customer and device inventory from CSV with column mapping, validation, and duplicate review. Keep imported due dates without inventing past tests. Export inventory and test-history summaries for spreadsheet use. KEEP DEADLINES VISIBLE Track testing intervals, unresolved failures and repair/retest deadlines. Adjust device intervals for the water system's requirements. Optional local reminders cover testing, repairs, appointments, follow-ups, certification, gauge calibration, and backups. YOUR RECORDS, ON YOUR DEVICE Export full backups containing records, photos, signatures, drafts, filing history and plans. Keep copies somewhere you control and restore when needed.
