Store description excerpt

Baby Steps is a calm, private place to keep everything about a child's health: doctor visits, vaccinations, medications, growth, teeth, and the papers a clinic hands you. It works entirely on your phone. There is no account to create, no server, and nothing is ever uploaded — which is also why it keeps working with no signal at all. VACCINATIONS, ON YOUR COUNTRY'S SCHEDULE Pick your country and Baby Steps builds the whole schedule from the dates your country reports to the WHO — 217 countries and territories, not one generic list. Egypt's Ministry of Health card is included in full, with the Arabic names, volumes and routes printed on it. Record a dose late and everything after it moves with it. MEDICATION REMINDERS THAT ARRIVE Enter a course once and every dose is scheduled, and the reminder arrives even with Sleep or a Focus switched on. Tap it to open straight onto that dose and answer Given, Snooze or Skip. A dose nobody answered stays on screen until a person decides — the app never marks a dose for you, and never quietly moves a late one next to the next one. Twice a day, every six hours, on set days of the week, or only as needed. TODAY IN ONE PLACE, AND ONLY TODAY Everything waiting on you sits on one screen: doses due, what has gone past, the next vaccine and the next appointment. Home is for the other question — how your child is doing, and what has actually happened. A VISIT, AND EVERYTHING THAT CAME OF IT A doctor visit holds the questions you meant to ask, and afterwards it gathers what happened at it: the diagnosis you wrote up, what was prescribed, what was given, which symptoms you discussed, the measurements taken and the papers filed. A medicine can say which condition it treats, so a condition shows its own treatment history. GROWTH AND TEETH Every weighing and measuring on one timeline — the date, where it was taken, and the note you made at the time. Each one is placed against the WHO Child Growth Standards, with the percentile worked out for your child's exact age and the range half of children the same age and sex fall in. And the teeth as they come through, one at a time. A record, not a test: nothing here is scored and nothing is graded. EVERY PAPER, FILED Photograph a prescription, a lab result or an ultrasound and file it under the visit or the illness it belongs to. Baby Steps does not read the page: you give it a title, say what kind of paper it is, and add your own tags. Nothing is extracted, and nothing is guessed. READING YOU CAN CHECK Twenty-nine short articles on sleep, feeding, teething, growth, development and safety — each one naming its publisher, the document, and the date it was last checked. The WHO, the NHS, the CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Matched to your child's age, and readable at three in the morning with no signal. EVERYTHING ELSE A health calendar, illnesses filed as one episode, medical history with serious allergies at the top, symptoms, feeding, and one search across all
