Babble Diary passively listens for your baby's voice and turns the day's vocal activity into clear, evidence-based development insights — without ever uploading audio. Speech and conversation are the strongest known predictors of early language development. Babble Diary measures the three signals that actually matter — how much your baby vocalizes, how much speech they hear from caregivers nearby, and how often the two of you take real conversational turns — and tracks them quietly in the background. WHAT YOU GET • Daily Snapshot: Baby Voice minutes, Speech Around Baby minutes, and Conversational Turns, updated throughout the day. • Babble Diary: every day gets its own page. It writes the entry from what it heard, and you add the part only you know — a note, photos, tags, and the sounds worth keeping. • Keep a sound: save any clip into that day's diary, with a note of its own. • O|X Quiz: three short, evidence-based questions a day about how babies learn to talk, with a streak and a record of what you've learned. • Stories: an optional feed of diary entries from other families raising children in the same language and culture. Off until you turn it on, and private by default. • 28-day, 3-month, and 1-year Trajectory charts — your baby's own growth arc, not a comparison to other children. • Milestone Map from 0 to 36 months — Babbling, First Words, Two-Word Combos, Word Explosion — with stage-specific tips for what to try this week. • Trend Cards: "growing," "steady," "below usual" — based on your baby's own baseline, not someone else's. PRIVACY YOU CAN VERIFY • All speech detection runs on the device. Audio is never uploaded — not for analytics, not for training, not ever. • Recordings library: short clips from moments your baby vocalized, stored on your phone only — never synced to our servers. • What the cloud sees: numerical features and counts you can inspect. You control whether even those sync. • Per-purpose consent: Cloud Backup, Stories, and the optional Help Improve program are granted separately. • If you opt in to contribute anonymous learnings, we send only numerical class-probability scores and on-device acoustic features — never raw audio, never your voice — and we verify you're the parent through a Stripe card check ($0.50 charged then refunded), as required by COPPA's Verifiable Parental Consent rules. • Export everything you've collected as JSON, any time. • Delete your account and all baby data with one tap. We honor it server-side, not just locally.
