Avessia helps you understand personal care and cosmetic ingredient labels before you buy. Most product scanner apps start with a barcode. That can be convenient, but barcode records may be missing, outdated, region-specific or different from the product in your hand. Avessia takes a label-first approach. Scan the ingredient list printed on the package and Avessia uses server-side OCR to read the label, match ingredients against a curated database of more than 26,000 personal care and cosmetic ingredients, and generate an evidence-informed product report. The label is the source of truth. MORE THAN A SIMPLE SCORE A single red, amber or green rating can be useful, but it does not tell the whole story. Avessia Premium lets you drill into each ingredient to see what it does, why it may have been flagged, how it is typically used, whether restrictions apply, and where the information comes from. The aim is practical ingredient transparency: clear, evidence-informed summaries without fear-driven claims.
