Store description excerpt

Birds of Southeastern Brazil is a digital guide to Brazilian birds found in the states of the Southeast Region (Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, and Espírito Santo). This region is home to three important natural domains – the Atlantic Forest, the Cerrado, and the Caatinga – and is therefore considered one of the most biodiverse on the planet, being one of the main destinations for birdwatching in the country. The species included in the app are presented dynamically, and can be displayed in alphabetical or taxonomic order. When accessing each one, the user will find high-quality original photos and sounds, as well as descriptive texts that help to learn more about the species, including tips for its correct identification in the field. Occurrence maps complement the textual information and help the user visualize the species' distribution throughout the Brazilian territory.
