Store description excerpt
Aura is a flare tracker for palindromic rheumatism, built around how the condition actually behaves. Flares turn up, move between joints, and then go away again. Most symptom trackers assume a constant ache that stays in one place, which makes them a poor fit for PR. LOG A FLARE IN UNDER A MINUTE Pick the joints, set the pain level, say whether it is one side or both, and tag anything you think set it off. Start it when it begins, mark it resolved when it goes. That is the whole flow. MEDICATIONS AT THE TIMES YOU TAKE THEM Add each medication with the times you actually take it, not a default the app picked for you. A reminder arrives when a dose is due, and the day's doses sit on the Today screen so you can see at a glance whether this morning already happened. PATTERNS, ONCE THERE ARE ENOUGH OF THEM Aura ranks the joints and triggers that keep coming up, and shows flare frequency and pain across weeks rather than days. It holds percentages back until there is a sample worth quoting. With two flares, one of them tagged with alcohol is not a fifty percent finding, so you get plain counts until the numbers can carry more. WEATHER, WITH SOMETHING TO COMPARE AGAINST Aura records the weather each day you open it, not only on days you have a flare. That way it can compare how often flares happen on low pressure days against the days without one, which is the only thing that makes a number there worth reading. READY FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT Keep a running list of the questions you always forget, then export a tidy PDF covering the period your rheumatologist asked about. Counts and dates, with no interpretation added. RESEARCH ON A RARE CONDITION New palindromic rheumatism papers from PubMed Central, so you do not have to go hunting for them. APPLE HEALTH With your permission, Aura reads sleep, heart rate, heart rate variability and activity, and shows them alongside your flare history. It only ever reads. It does not write to Health, and it does not share what it reads with anyone. YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE There is no account and nothing to sign up for. Your records live on your device rather than on a server. Aura has no analytics, no advertising, and no third party libraries at all. Two connections leave the app, one for weather and one for research, and neither one carries anything about you. WHAT AURA DOES NOT DO It does not predict flares. Nothing can, and an app that suggests otherwise is guessing. Aura keeps an honest tally of what you logged and what came back, and leaves the conclusions to you and the person treating you. Aura is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and nothing it shows is medical advice. Any pattern it reports is descriptive only. Please talk to a clinician about your care.
