AudioTrail – Listen & Discover Discover special places, exciting stories, and guided tours in a completely new way. AudioTrail combines audio guides with GPS, interactive maps, and QR codes. This makes landmarks, natural sites, historical locations, and entire regions audible and tangible. Whether on foot or by bike, AudioTrail accompanies you on your journey and plays relevant audio clips for each stop. Audio Stations Near You On the interactive map, you can see available audio stations in your vicinity. As you approach a station, the corresponding audio clip can start automatically. For each station, you'll find an image, an informative text, and the corresponding audio file. Tapping a point on the map displays the title and playback duration of the clip. Discover Guided Tours AudioTrail shows you up to five tours near you – sorted by distance from your current location. You can immediately see how far away each starting point is. During a tour, the app shows you: • the way to the starting point • the direction to the next station • the distance to the next audio point • the route of the tour • stations already visited OpenStreetMap can be opened for external navigation. On foot or by bike In the settings, select whether you are traveling on foot or by bike. The app will then only show you tours and audio stations that match your chosen mode of transport. This way, you get exactly the content that is relevant to your current trip. Scan QR codes Many AudioTrail stations and tours can be opened directly via a QR code. Simply scan the code with the app, and the corresponding audio clip or desired tour will be displayed immediately. QR codes offer particularly easy access – without a lengthy search. Multilingual content AudioTrail supports content in three languages: • German • Italian • English The language can be changed directly on the home screen via the country icons or permanently selected in the settings. Texts, audio clips, and the user interface are adjusted accordingly, provided the respective content is available. Your personal history Under "My History," you'll find audio stations you've already visited and tours you've completed. This allows you to review your discoveries later and see which places you've already explored. Your personal history is stored locally on your device. Digital guestbook Share your impressions with other visitors. In the guestbook, you can optionally: • Enter your name • Enter your location • Add a photo • Record a voice message Published guestbook entries can then be viewed and listened to by other AudioTrail users. Everything at a glance On the homepage, you'll see: • The number of available tours • The number of available audio stations • The current GPS accuracy • The status of your internet connection Color-coded indicators help you quickly assess the quality of your location tracking and internet connection.
