ASL4Responders helps healthcare learners practice basic American Sign Language (ASL) and Spanish phrases for patient-facing communication. Choose an ASL or Spanish pathway, then move through common parts of a patient encounter, including greetings, patient history, physical exam, vitals and procedures, diagnosis and plan, and closing or follow-up. Each lesson pairs video demonstrations with written practice directions and clinical communication tips, so learners can review phrases, save important signs, track progress, study common terminology, and practice realistic patient scenarios. ASL4Responders is designed for healthcare students, first responders, and care-team members who want to build confidence with simple, respectful communication phrases in clinical settings.
