ArtPiece turns 102 real masterpieces from The Metropolitan Museum of Art into sliding puzzles you solve against the clock. Every painting is a genuine public domain work, shown at full quality. Van Gogh, Vermeer, Degas, Cezanne, Rembrandt, Hokusai, Renoir, Manet, El Greco, Goya and 21 other artists are here, from the Great Wave to Irises to Madame X. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT Choose how hard it gets. The same painting can be played at 3x3 for a few relaxed minutes, or at 10x10, where 99 pieces turn a familiar image into a real test. Six sizes in all, so a work you have already finished still has somewhere to go. Your time is the score. Finishing is only the start. The seconds you take are recorded on a worldwide board kept separately for every painting and every difficulty, so a 5x5 record and a 10x10 record are two different mountains to climb. Claim a nickname that nobody else in the world can take, then go and defend it. Your own photos become puzzles. Pick any picture from your gallery, choose a grid, and it becomes a board with the same rules. Photos stay in the app, so a face, a pet or a holiday shot can be replayed at a harder size later. Your best time on each one is kept alongside the paintings. Big boards do not have to be finished in one sitting. A 99 piece board can be put down and picked up exactly where it was, with the clock counting only the time you actually spent playing.
