Nadhom Aqidatul Awam - In Islamic boarding schools, to recite the Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah aqidah, the students usually use the books Kifayatul Awam, Tuhfatul Siswa Syarhjauharah at-Tauhid, al-Iqtishad fi al-I'tiqad, Nadham Kharidah al-Bahiyyah, and others . However, these books usually begin to be studied at the aliyah level and above. The tsanawiyah usually uses Mandhûmah 'Aqîdatul 'Awâm (or usually simply called Aqidatul Awam) along with its sharah. The book 'Aqîdatul 'Awâm was written by al-Imam al-'Allamah Ahmad bin Muhammad Ramadhan bin Manshur al-Makki al-Marzuki al-Maliki al-Husaini al-Hasani. One of the muftis of the Maliki school of thought in Mecca. Apart from Mandhumah Aqidatul Awam, another famous essay by Sheikh Ahmad al-Marzûqi is Tahshil Naylil Maram, which is a book of sharah from 'Aqîdatul 'Awâm. Then al-Fawaid al-Marzuqiyah, a book of sharia on the Jurumiyah book. Apart from 'Aqîdatul 'Awâm, his works in the form of nadham (poem) are Mandhumah 'Ilmi Falak and Mandhumah 'Ishmat al-Anbiya'. Sheikh Ahmad al-Marzuqi died in Mecca in 1281 AH and was buried in Jannatul Mu'alla or Ma'la cemetery. The process of compiling this book was very interesting. This story is often told when studying Aqidatul Awam in Islamic boarding schools, and can be found in sharah books. One of the syarahs that contains this story is the book Jalâul Afham Syarh Aqidatul Awam by KH. M. Ihya' 'Ulumuddin.
