AppLocker keeps your private apps private, and gives parents real control over how long apps get used. To do that, AppLocker monitors your device. Please read the section below so you know exactly what that means before you install. WHAT APPLOCKER MONITORS • Which app is currently open. AppLocker uses Android's Accessibility Service to detect the moment an app comes to the foreground, so it can show the lock screen before the app is visible. • How long each app is used. Daily usage per app is recorded so time limits and usage statistics work. • Failed unlock attempts. Every wrong PIN or pattern is logged with the app, date and time. • Optionally, a photo of whoever entered a wrong code, taken with the front camera. This is off by default and you turn it on yourself. While monitoring is running, AppLocker shows a permanent notification saying so. It cannot be swiped away and it cannot be hidden. AppLocker has its own visible launcher icon and never runs in disguise. LOCK YOUR APPS • PIN, pattern, or fingerprint unlock • Lock any installed app — messaging, gallery, banking, social, settings • Choose when apps re-lock: immediately, after 30 seconds, after 1 minute, or when the screen goes off • A dark, fast lock screen that appears before the protected app does PARENTAL CONTROL • Set a daily time limit for any app, in 15-minute steps • See how many minutes each app has been used today • When the limit is reached, the app locks SCHEDULES • Lock chosen apps on chosen days between chosen hours • Great for school hours, homework time, bedtime, or the work day • Optional notification shortly before a schedule starts INTRUSION LOG • A dated history of every failed unlock attempt and the app it targeted • Optional front-camera photo attached to each failed attempt • Photos are saved only in AppLocker's private storage on your phone. They are never uploaded, shared, or sent anywhere. TAMPER PROTECTION • Block force stop, uninstall, clear data, and disabling of locked apps • Freeze permission changes behind your code • Self-protection so AppLocker itself cannot be removed without your code • Locks restore automatically after a reinstall via Android backup PERMISSIONS AND WHY THEY ARE NEEDED • Accessibility Service — to detect which app opens and to block tampering. It is not used for accessibility assistance and it does not read your messages or passwords. • Usage access — to measure per-app usage for daily limits and statistics. • Display over other apps — to draw the lock screen on top of the app being opened. • Device admin — only to stop AppLocker being uninstalled without your code. • Notifications — to show the required "AppLocker is active" notice and schedule warnings. • Camera — only if you switch on intrusion photo capture.
