Use the settings panel in the notification area to configure screen orientation, prevent screen timeout, and check Wi-Fi for individual apps. ◆ Useful when you want to - Change screen orientation to suit the app you are using - Prevent the screen from turning off while you are viewing it - Check your Wi-Fi connection when switching apps - Quickly access the flashlight, volume controls, or brightness settings ◆ Per-app settings - Screen orientation Change screen orientation, including forcing a different orientation for apps and home screens with a fixed orientation. - Keep screen on Disable screen timeout to keep the display on while using an app. - Check Wi-Fi Check your Wi-Fi connection when switching apps to help avoid unintended heavy mobile data usage. - Assist app Choose an app or shortcut to launch when you press and hold the home button. - Restart Force an app to restart. ◆ Brightness and shortcuts Optimize screen brightness when unlocking your device. You can also create shortcuts for the following functions: - Flashlight - Volume control - Minimum brightness - Optimized brightness - Maximum brightness - File - Activity (deprecated) The flashlight, volume, and brightness functions can also be added to your device's Quick Settings panel. ◆ Manually keep the screen on Press and hold the App Support icon, then tap the shortcut to start keeping the screen on manually. While this mode is active, the screen stays on regardless of per-app settings. To stop, tap the shortcut again or tap the stop action in the notification. ◆ Permissions This app uses the following permissions to provide its features. - Notifications Used to provide the app's main functionality. - App list access Used to obtain information about the running app and provide launcher functionality. - Find accounts on this device Used when backing up your data to Google Drive.
