Store description excerpt
An unmarked piece holds its era in its hallmarks, its joinery and its glaze — AntiqLens reads those clues from a photo. Photograph a flea-market find, an estate-sale lot or an heirloom from the attic, and AntiqLens helps you place its era, read its maker's marks and style, judge its condition, and see an estimated value range — then keep the whole hoard organized in one place. WHY COLLECTORS AND PICKERS USE ANTIQLENS Know what you're actually holding. Antiques rarely come labelled. A single piece can carry hallmarks, date letters, a maker's stamp, a glaze, a patina or a joinery detail that tells you when and where it was made. AntiqLens reads those clues from a photo and helps you match the likely era and category — porcelain, furniture, glass, silver, bronze, clocks, lamps and more — so you understand the object in front of you instead of guessing. See an estimated value range. For each match, AntiqLens shows a market reference range so you have a realistic sense of worth before you buy, haggle, sell or insure. Set the condition and the range responds. These are reference estimates only — not an appraisal, an authentication, an offer, or financial advice. A real antique's price depends on attribution, provenance, condition and the room it sells in. Read condition like the trade does. Condition drives value more than almost anything. AntiqLens walks you through the vocabulary dealers use — patina versus damage, original surface versus restoration, marriages and replaced parts — so you can describe a piece honestly and record the result beside it. Build a collection that holds its story. Save every piece you scan into a personal collection on your device. Track era, category, condition and estimated value, sort and filter your shelves, and watch your collection's total reference value take shape as it grows. Learn the eye, for free. AntiqLens ships with in-app guides any collector can read without subscribing: how to read condition from patina and hallmarks, the blue-chip names that command fortunes, the marks and joinery that date a piece, how to spot fakes, marriages and let-in hallmarks with a UV lamp, how surfaces like oxblood glaze and bronze patina form, how auction reserves and buyer's premium work, and how to care for, store and display antiques so they survive another century. HOW IT WORKS 1. Photograph the piece — and a close-up of any mark, stamp or label. 2. AntiqLens suggests the likely era and category with a confidence indicator — confirm it or correct it by hand. 3. Set the condition to refine the estimated value range. 4. Save it to your collection and keep hunting.
