Store description excerpt
AntiGroom is a calm, private space for one hard question: does this relationship feel off? It won't tell you what's happening or what to do. It doesn't label anyone, score anything, or hand you a verdict. It gives you better questions — so the conclusion is one you reached, and one you can trust. WHY QUESTIONS, AND NOT AN ANSWER Coercion is hard to see early because it is built not to be seen. Someone doing it is practised, and they adapt. Pull away and the pressure eases; the warmth comes back. The obvious warning signs tend to go quiet exactly when you start looking for them, and in the early months there may be nothing that looks like a red flag at all. That is why a snap judgement on a handful of messages doesn't help much. A conversation read without its history can look fine and not be, or look alarming and be nothing. A confident answer about a relationship, from something that wasn't there for any of it, is worth less than it sounds — and it costs you either way it lands. Told everything is fine, you stop trusting the part of you that knew otherwise. Told it's abuse, you may act on a stranger's certainty rather than your own. What holds up is your own judgement, given something to work with. A good question sends you back to what you already know and lets you see the shape of it. And recognising a pattern yourself is the part that stays with you — it still works next week, on a conversation no app ever sees. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Nothing here asks you to hand over your messages. No chat export, no screenshot upload, no connecting an account, no giving one app the run of your conversations with everyone in your life. You write only what you choose to write, in your own words. - No account. No sign-in. No profile. Nothing to log into, and nothing tied to your name. - No analytics, no tracking, no ads, no third-party trackers of any kind. - Identifying details — names, phone numbers, emails, handles, links, addresses — are stripped out on your device, before anything is sent. - The guides are on your phone. They work with no signal and send nothing anywhere. - What you write in Ask isn't saved — not on your phone, and not by us. There's no history and no list of recent entries, on purpose: nothing is kept, so there's nothing to find later. It's used to write your questions, then let go. This is the part someone in a monitored relationship needs most, and it's why the app is built this way rather than the convenient way. LEARN Hand-written guides on how coercive control and grooming actually progress — the small, deniable steps, the slow narrowing of your world, the way "care" can start to feel like control. Grounded in established coercive-control and grooming research. They work offline and send nothing anywhere. ASK Write out a conversation in your own words — something someone said that you can't stop turning over. AntiGroom reads it and gives you back three questions to sit with. Not answers. Not advice. Questions only, so the concl
