For Russian speakers learning English. The app translates into Russian and its interface is in Russian. Turn any page of English words into flashcards — just take a photo. Angloteka (Англотека) reads the words for you. Point the camera at a dictionary page in a textbook, a list of words, your own handwritten notes, or a screenshot you saved. The app finds every English word, translates it into Russian, and builds a deck you can start studying right away. No typing. No accounts. No setup. Nothing to photograph right now? Start with a ready-made deck of ten common expressions — it does not count towards your free cards. WHAT YOU CAN PHOTOGRAPH • A dictionary page from a school textbook • A printed or handwritten list of words • A screenshot of vocabulary saved from social media • Physical flashcards your child already has HOW IT WORKS 1. Take a photo, or pick one from your library 2. Check the words the app found — edit or remove any of them 3. Study with memory cards and spelling practice BUILT FOR REAL STUDY • Cards show a picture for the word, so meaning sticks • Two directions: recognise the English word, or recall it from the Russian • Spelling practice builds the word letter by letter • Words you get wrong come back more often • You can also add a word by hand — with your own translation and picture • Everything works offline once the cards are saved PRIVACY, PLAINLY • No account. We ask for no email or phone number; a greeting name is optional and stays on your device • Your cards stay on your device • Photos are not stored on our servers. Recognition runs only with your permission, in Anthropic's Claude service (USA), which deletes them within 30 days (up to 2 years if their automated systems flag the image) • No advertising, no analytics, no tracking. Not one advertising or analytics SDK Free for your first 20 cards, and cards you write yourself never count towards that. Beyond that, an auto-renewable monthly subscription removes the card limit; cancel any time in your Apple ID settings. Photo recognition has its own separate allowance — the app shows how much of it you have left, and the subscription raises it.
