Store description excerpt
Zmanim for where you are, a private mikvah calendar, and what is different about today's davening. Your limud, simchas and yahrzeits, names to daven for, which way to face. Amud works out the Jewish day for you, and nothing leaves your phone. It reads the date and where you are standing, and answers the questions that depend on both. No sign-in, and it works with no signal. ZMANIM FOR WHERE YOU ARE Every row leads with what you DO, the zman's name beside it: earliest tallis and tefillin, last Krias Shema, last Shacharis, Mincha, earliest Maariv, shkia, nacht, candles, fasts, the end of Shabbos and Rabbeinu Tam. Alos, Misheyakir and Plag each have a choice of shitah, and where your kehilla publishes its own luach you can follow that. A PRIVATE MIKVAH CALENDAR Off by default, behind one quiet row in Settings. It keeps the cycle: the expected days each month and which onah, said out loud with the hours it runs; the hefsek taharah and its window; the seven clean days with morning and afternoon ticks; the mikvah night and its checklist. Record a flow by date, time and town and it works out the halachic day and onah. Already part-way through? Enter this period and the bedikos you have done, and it picks up from there. Reminders for every step, expecting and after-birth modes, a kallah's first-time halachos, paste-in history, a month view, and a printable year for a rav. Anything with a machlokes says ask your rav. One tap hides the card, and it stays on your phone. WHAT IS DIFFERENT TODAY Over fifty things a year, in the order you daven them, marked SAY, SKIP or ADD in plain English with the Hebrew beside it. Tachanun, Hallel full or half, Ya'aleh V'yavo, Al HaNisim, Mashiv HaRuach and Morid HaTal, V'sein Tal U'Matar with the exact changeover night, Sefiras HaOmer, Selichos, Avinu Malkeinu, fasts and Aneinu, Yizkor, Shabbos Mevorchim with the molad and Kiddush Levana. No shul knowledge assumed. YOUR LIMUD, AND YOUR OWN SEDER Twenty-one cycles, each tracking on its own with missed days and your siyum date: Daf Yomi, Amud Yomi, Dirshu Mishnah Berurah, Yerushalmi, Mishnah Yomi, Nach Yomi and more. Shnayim Mikra too. Or name your own seder in any of eleven sefarim: say where you are up to rather than when you began, tick off what you finished years ago, and set a pace or a finishing date. WHICH WAY TO DAVEN A live compass to Har HaBayis, with the words to go with it. It knows whether you are in chutz la'aretz, in Eretz Yisroel or in Yerushalayim and says the right thing for each. Three shitos for the bearing. A MIRROR FOR THE SHEL ROSH The front camera, mirrored and full screen, with two circles for your eyes and a line running up between them, corrected for the angle you hold the phone at. It never tells you it is right: it cannot see the kesher or the retzuos, and a pass mark would be ruling on what it cannot see. No face is recognised and nothing is stored. THE CHOILIM LIST Names to daven for, behind a heart at the top, each exactly as yo
