How can the AlphornCoach support and optimise your practising? The app offers the following five functions: Tuner The central feature of the app: You play a note and immediately see how accurate you were. The cent deviation is displayed as a horizontal gauge. The pitch is shown as a note on the stave or in a wheel. Working regularly with the tuner you will develop an increased awareness of the characteristics of the natural scale. Replay the note A random note is played but not shown, You listen and try to play it back. If you do not succeed in time, the app reveals the note and plays it again. An effective aural training that improves your awareness of sound patterns – presented as a small challange. Hit the note The app selects a note at random and displays it on the stave. You play the note on the alphorn and when you have held a long, clean tone it moves on to the next note. Simple training for intonation and music-reading skills. Identify the note The app plays a note and you tap what you consider to be the correct note on the stave. Suitable when you do not have an instrument at hand. Play notes Tap a note on the stave to hear how it should sound. Ideal for preparing the initial note in a piece. Adapts to your alphorn The modulations are for alphorns in F and F#. The pitch can be adjusted between 435 Hz and 445 Hz according to the needs of your group. Two timbres are available for playing the notes.
